Zen and the Art of Wedding Album Design..

Spent all day, today, working on the design for quite a big wedding album.

There is quite an art to putting together a client's selection of often quite disperate wedding images into an album, in such a way that the images work together to tell the narrative of the day and all make sense when placed next to each other. You also have to consider whether the colours of the images work together and whether you have given a fair 'weighting' to each image with respect to how important you think the image is as part of the overall story. It's a bit like doing a zen jigsaw... and you can always guarentee that there will be one image that just doesn't work with the others that you just can't shoe-horn into the design without disrupting the entire thing!

It's now 11.30pm - I've just finished the draft design of the album and I am now off to veg in front of the telly with a pre-beddie-byes cuppa.
