Devoted to her dogs
I met Linda waiting for the bus. She had two cocker spaniels with her, one with a leg missing. I asked her about it and she explained the dog had cut her paw on broken glass, had healed up well but when supplied with a special boot to help her walk had had a catastrophic reaction. Infection set in and amputation was the only way to save her. But she was fine. The dogs were called Sian and Bethan. She also had others called Blodwen and Dewi and I think Maggie - I lost track, she talked 19 to the dozen all about her dogs, some of which are fostered and/or adopted. She'll take in any dog however much a hopeless case. She has fostered an ancient Jack Russell who has had a big cancer removed from her side, mites in her ears and all her teeth missing so her tongue hangs out - she won't last long but she's loving being in the field. (Linda is staying in a caravan nearby with her 6 dogs, she comes here on holiday from Machen every summer, she wants retire here but her husband isn't so keen... I got the impression he wasn't staying in the caravan.)
