Chateau de Ronel

We decided to break our journey home and stay once again at this lovely Chateau. We were so impressed last year and we said we would be back and I am so glad that we did return... not only is it as beautiful and so so French and country elegant than before with this amazing natural pool ... but the owner had many of his family still there after a wedding on Saturday and we were invited to join them so 12 of us in total for aperitifs and dinner... We might have been in a French film.. it was just wonderful.. the children two little ones stayed at the table of course as they do in France and the conversation and the company and the food was just amazing.. and our French held up too...

Champagne courtesy of the groom before dinner with a wonderful black olive tapenade on French bread. Then the most wonderful dinner with vegetables organic of course from the garden and some of the local Gaillac organic wine.. If you are travelling through France I do I do I do recommend staying here if you want an elegant extraordinary experience... and we do so want them to succeed .. the chateau is near Realmont between Albi and Castres ..

We just feel very very privileged to have had this experience and this was the view from the window when I woke this morning..

We will be back and we may make this our base hotel for our next bike tour.
