Room with a view

This is what I see from the front room of my retreat space this week. That's the Salmon River gently flowing by; the Pacific Ocean is just the other side of the copse of trees. I'm surrounded by cedars, firs, ferns and birds -- water birds, raptors, hummingbirds, songbirds. And other than their lovely songs and calls, it's so so quiet here. A wonderful space to sink into silence for a few days.
