Lifeboat cheque
Scarborough RNLI’s Supacat appeal received a big boost when the Inner Wheel club dropped in with a cheque for £3,333.
The money was raised during district chairman Enid Bennett’s year in office, which ends next Monday.
“These chaps are volunteers and risk their lives at sea,” Enid explained.
About 30 members from around Yorkshire, including 14 from Scarborough, visited the lifeboathouse before having lunch at the Golden Grid.
Enid is pictured on the right handing over a cheque to Colin Woodhead, who chairs Scarborough RNLI.
