A Barrel of Cider!

When we had our roof done, the roofers used the skip on our drive to dump items from other jobs. One such item was an old oak barrel - so we 'knicked' it!

Mr W cut it in half and has lovingly painted both halves, screwed the metal rings in place, made a circular top for one of them and generally spent hours on them. When I got home today, he had tacked some waterproof fabric on the table top for me!

I came home from work with a boot full of plants and herbs to fill the other half!

Then we rewarded ourselves with a can of Cider in the sunshine, christening the table top on the old oak barrel!!
