Reflecting on empty nest

After an extremely fun-filled and family busy November and December...came home to an entirely empty and quiet house this afternoon...husband flew out this morning on a trip...and I drove our son and daughter-in-law to link up with her parents for one last night...before the kids head back to their home on the East Coast. Between a delicious Thanksgiving feast at our oldest daughter, son-in-law and grands house, our fun visit in China with our youngest daughter and son-in-law from the end of November until right before Christmas...and then the fun-packed days after that...it's been a most joyous time! While the silence filled the house tonight...I reflected back on all the fun we had with our little family near and far and am already looking forward to our next visits with all of them!
