Historic wedding

Every person in this group has had to overcome unimaginable odds to be alive, to be housed, sober and healthy, and to build strong and loving family, as they have done.

So far as we know, this was the first fully legal wedding in Oregon of two women from the unhoused community in Portland, since the law changed on May 19, 2014.

It was a privilege to take part in their wedding and to meet the people who make up their family. Congratulations, Charlyn and Kiza.
