What an amazing end to our time at Yellowstone National Park.
We headed out early to see if we could spot some wildlife in Lamar Valley and never dreamt we would see a wolf. But as we were driving along Shelly spotted something black running along the river so we pulled over and had a look and sure enough it was one of the Lamar Wolf Pack. We followed it along (in the car of course) until it disappeared into the hills. Absolutely amazing!
With the decline in wolves in Yellowstone we had accepted we weren't going to see one so this has made our entire holiday!
I also got to see a huge grizzly bear through someones scope. Way too far away to get a photo of it. Miles and miles away high up in the hills.
Heading back down the valley we passed the black bear cubs again. They were really close to the road so no one was allowed out of their cars. Shot this from the car window of a bear cub climbing up a tree. So cute!
Our last proper day in Yellowstone has been utterly wonderful!
