Peculiar!

Listening has been important today.
Worked with one little boy and his poor mum had already had a difficult time by 10am. She needed me to listen. It's important to listen well during Soundabout sessions to fully notice and encourage what the child is doing.
Did a Bible study this evening about the importance of doing after listening to establish and embed what God has to say in His word. James reminds us that truly studying God's word gives freedom and stirs us into action and obedience.
But for me doing is the easy bit listening has got to come first and that is the bit not so good at. Thankful that God chooses to use me despite the stuff I'm rubbish at. Full of Praise for a God who is stronger than all my failings more gracious and full of love and mercy that He would choose to use me when He doesn't need to.
Also rethought Gideon this morning. Briefly God didn't tell him off for wanting encouragement He just gently affirmed His plans.
