After almost four months of interventionless mudguarding the long bit which went all the way from the zip-tie in the middle of the seat tube bottle cage mount to just aft of the brake-bridge-equivalent mount-point snapped at the mount point at some point on Saturday, possibly when the frame was flexing a bit when dragging the trailer about. Fortunately the over-engineered remainder was supportive enough for the flapping ends to be able to be restrained sufficiently to use with a couple of strips of Sellotape, now replaced by a nice new chunk of old mudguard and a couple of extra bolts.
