Sharks are in the garden!

During my last couple of night's moth trapping in the garden I've caught a number of these wonderful beasts - the Shark, Cucullia umbratica. This is a completely new moth to me - it shows how ignorant we are generally of the nocturnal world. It is well named as its crest does resemble a shark's dorsal fin...and actually, it does have the same sort of slightly menacing appearance.
