Nature's Comforting Grace
Today I went hiking to Ague Cove with a group of friends. At this beautiful cove there is a rock formation that blocks a part of the shore from view while in the water. Because of this, we were constantly returning to the shore to check on our belongings. As we swam we became distracted by our need for super awesome GoPro footage and swam further from the shore, consumed with the challenge of diving into the depths of the ocean for the perfect shot. Happy with our many attemps and excited to see the footage we decided to head up the trail. Sadly, our joyous return to land was ruined by the disappearance of 3 phones and 2 ipods. Fuelled by mixed emotions we hurried up the trail in hope of fibding the culprits. Our search was to no avail. The theif was long gone and a sad gloom started to spread over our disappointed group. As we rested we realized how fortunate we were to not have been hurt and soon decided to keep the day's memory happy with all the blessings the day had had. Sure they stole our electronics, but they left our wallets keys and cars completely untouched! We were together and we were safe. Today's adventure will soon become a mere memory of our exciting teenage years. This is a picture of wildlife from the trail that reminded me that even in the worst places and worst times of your life, there will always be something to be thankful for. In the darkness there will always be a shining light. ~ Today I am happy because even though things went wrong, I was still able to enjoy the day (which is a HUGE improvement for me).
