Landshuter Altstadt
Historic city center of Landshut
Landshut's historic city center was mostly undamaged during WWII. It is almost entirely preserved in its medieval state.
It also works perfectly as setting for the Landshut Wedding 1475, a quadrennial reenactment of an medieval aristocratic wedding in 1475. The Landshut Wedding is the largest historical peagant in Europe and the city's main attraction.
The church to the left is St. Martin's Church, completed in 1500. Its bell tower is 130.6 metres high and the tallest brick building without steel support in the world.
