Amaryllis

I spent the day at my mums today. She has had this amaryllis, which originates from the western cape region of South Africa so I am reliably informed, for four or five years now. Last year it didn't do anything but she has nurtured it and as you can see it has paid off big time, with it's massive blooms, and another two buds in waiting too. Tonight as the sun was starting to sink in the sky I noticed the light and shade behind the flower which I thought made for an interesting blip.
