Sir Ian McKellen

Today some of our Learning for Pleasure Photography Group visited Cambridge. Coffee (and for some, cake) was the start to the day prior to a punt on the River Cam. We had a very competent young man operating the pole. He was extremely knowledgeable about the various colleges and their history. This was delivered in a very easy and humorous manner.

After the punt the group broke up for exploration in smaller groups and to seek out some lunch.

We gathered later outside King’s College before our return journey and were lucky to witness the procession for the 2014 Honorary Degrees. Today’s blip is of Sir Ian McKellen chatting with Dame Mitsuko Uchida. A very colourful occasion which Cambridge University do so well.
