A fern covered tree trunk.....

This was in St Bridget's, Bridekirk. The new church is built on the grounds of the old church. A couple of walls still remain.

But my eye was drawn to this sawn off bit of tree trunk, literally stuffed with ferns. Is this a grave, or, it is some sawn off tree trunk which shows some one has taken time and trouble to create and plant...
