Down among the daisies

With an hour to spare before an appointment today, I decided to visit my old friends, the horses on Compton Down. They were all wearing anti-fly headgear, this one had a fringe and the others had (semi) see through hoods, so they looked like something out of Dr Who. Mind you, they needed protection there were so many flies zooming around, some infiltrating themselves into my shots. Rather more beautifully, the path was covered in tortoiseshell butterflies - quantities of them.

So there we are, that's another day of life lived with reasonable satisfaction. Have a good evening xx
