This may help you understand why organic vegetables are so expensive. I rather wonder why they are not more expensive.This weeding process takes weeks.
Other carrots get sprayed with weedkillers and pesticides etc. Takes no time! Sadly the supermarkets squeeze the farmers and beat down their organic prices. To the point where it is almost not worth their while. But they definitely taste much better.
