The Humble Post Box

Will the great British Post Box soon be a thing of the past? Will they like many of our old phone boxes end up as garden ornaments, or pure decoration. With the spread of technology and the rise in the cost of posting mail, will the art of letter writing soon be forgotten? I think there is something special about receiving a personal hand written letter or card. Amongst all the junk mail it always brings a smile to my face when I receive a hand written letter addressed to me. It tells me that the person cared enough to stop and think about what they wanted to say, took the time to put pen to paper, get a stamp and take the letter to the post box. I don't care if it isn't an instant message, it is all the better for time it takes to reach me. Let's revive the art of letter writing before it's too late and we have no more post boxes left by which to send them.
