Battered blackbird

This fellow was hopping around the ground under my feeders just before 9 this evening, when all the other birds had gone to bed. I noticed he had lost his tail and some other feathers, but I didn't see the damage to his beak until I looked at the photos on the computer. I'll be looking out for him tomorrow.
