Back-blipped Alan Turing

Very long drive this evening to and from a meeting at the University of Surrey which is opening a new Veterinary School. This is controversial. They want to create "Partner Practices" which will help them with student training. I am an interested sceptic: I suspect the University will provide few resources, little support and no training to the vets. I voiced my concerns; thus making myself probably the most unpopular person in the room.

The is a statue of Alan Turing; father of computer science, a mathematical genius and most famous for creating the ENIGMA code-breaking machines which were crucial in the defeat of Nazi Germany. I found it on my way to the meeting.
