Top of The Range

The Crown Range that is and we were on our way to pick up The Bossess from Queenstown when I barked at this and The Boss did a crash (without crashing) stop.
Besides this image there was entertainment by the van load and a bunch of visitors were all lined up for the “obligatory” top of the range shot with the additional feature of the group “clown” (does every group have one…?) jumping up in the air behind the line up with his arms splayed and a stupid look on his face. There were obvious technical difficulties as while The Boss sat in the warm Suzz, it is always chilly on the top, this act was repeated and repeated and repeated ad nauseam. Probably shutter lag…The Boss said. I thought it was brain lag but they were doing this right where The Boss wanted to be so we just waited them out and eventually when their camera card was full, they climbed bark into the stupidly decorated tourist van, and departed.
I wondered if other countries have these stupidly decorated tourist vehicles or is this just a Kiwi thing?
Additional interesting info…..Queenstown is down the right side of this mountain.
