Cotton Gus
It was one of those rare mornings when I actually get out of the office. This is a secret site that I have been to twice before, a place where we have had a few challenges to resolve, but through Westmorlandic Wandering's persistence, we do seem to be getting somewhere.
This field is particularly lovely, a huge stand of cotton grass in a rich mixture of fen meadow sedges, grasses and flowers. The meadow elf seen in the top right hand corner is adorned with a single pink flower of Ragged Robin. Gus came with us for a site visit, and he enjoyed porpoising through the tall grasses and sedges. And after all the difficulties I used to have of persuading him to be photographed, he has turned into a right poser.
I didn't think I would have time to upload a blip today. But here I am, I couldn't resist blipping this. We shall be leaving on our trip to Beverley shortly.
