Giant Tube

This used to be painted to look like a giant cathoid tube. It was a General Electric Plant here in Owensboro, KY. Some time ago they painted it all white so it would "blend in" I guess. Recently the plant closed.

My mother worked for General Electic for many years, though at a building more in the middle of town, not at this location. She started out as a secretary, then later moved up to Contact Negotiator. Her branch split off from GE and were called MPD. She later retired from MPD (1994).
