Make haylage while the sun shines!

T and B are working hard with a contractor to wrap the haylage bales before any rain comes our way. They will then have to be stacked ready to be put on the trailers and brought down to the yard before the birds start pecking through the plastic wrappers and ruining the lot. We make haylage mostly for the equine market, the horse owners like to feed it to their mounts. Haylage is a cross between hay and silage. The grass still retains more moisture content than in hay and that it why the bales are plastic wrapped.
