WSCC Signpost, Wisborough Green
I went on a long walk tonight and went the same way as last night and went further on and reached the road that runs from Wisborough Green to Fittleworth. This signpost is a short distance from where I reached the road to Fittleworth and is at its junction with a lane to the A272.
This is a typical West Sussex County Council fingerpost sign. The ring top or annulus usually has the council initials at the top and the location or parish at the bottom. Some of these signs have a maker's name of a foundry based in Chichester. Signs like these add distinctiveness to the countryside and are an important part of our heritage.
