Ghostly Goings On....

..... it puts me in mind of an incident from my childhood. My parents had just moved into a large house on the outskirts of the village.

The house itself, dating back to the seventeenth century, was rumoured to have been at the centre of witchcraft and the persecution of those suspected in such activities.

With this history at the forefront of our thoughts, the first night in the property was a nerve-racking affair. One room in particular was unusually cold, irrespective of the weather outside. As a result, and in order to put our minds at rest, the local priest was called to perform an exorcism.

Imagine my parents embarrassment when the priest identified the source of these supernatural experiences as the fridge!
