Back to Petra. Twice in one week.
As random timing and schedules would have it, my mom and dad came to visit me within about 2 days of one another...meaning a good two weeks or so of tourist activities. My father was originally going to come and visit for a few days in may but he's plans were changed and he ended up coming the June 5-9. Then, my mom's original planned trip had he coming in on June 11-18.
Petra was very pretty and not much had changed in the four days or so since i had been there, much like I had suspected, but a good trip all and all. It was painfully hot of course, but my mom and I had fun overall.
Being back in Petra of course meant me spending a sick amount of time taking pictures of the camels and horses again. I take pictures of the amazing-ness that is the Treasury and whatnot of course....but I just have an obsession with the camels and the horses more. To each their own I guess.
However, I liked this photo a lot because after you spend a good 45 minutes of so walking through a canyon like path, you turn a corner and there is just the smallest slice of the Treasury in between the rocks. Its a really amazing little spot where you get the first glimpse at how massive and prominent it is. I really like that you get a beautiful little piece before taking it all in.
