The Beautiful Black Country

One of the best things about living in the Black Country - along with the lower prices, rich industrial and architectural history and good friends - is the brilliant network of canals across the region. You can follow them into Staffordshire villages and right into the heart of Birmingham. We've done a few walks along the canals and it's always a pleasant outing. This is the view of the canal behind the city's major cinema, tucked away at the back. Everything is full of life, green and growing. We even saw some little ducklings!
