Crappy picture but it's the only one I took (as teams were being introduced) 'cos after that, it was just too exciting to bother ;) My team trounced the Swiss 5-2 (technically, it should've been 6-2, but who's counting at that point) ;) yeah, yeah, yeah! What a day!

Given the international character of Washington, DC, there are bars and restaurants all over which are catering to different teams. As games progress, embassies will get involved as well. Pretty cool :)

This sports bar, Redline, is one of the hangouts for French supporters during the World Cup. The owner is French and made my day when he offered a bottle of freshly imported Kronenbourg (what's better than that for a girl from Alsace?). Redline is what's called a 'gastro-bar', meaning it serves fine food rather than the usual slop that characterizes sports bars. Even better :)
