Well perhaps for Woylies and other native Australian critters but not for the likes of us.
The 'mizzle' and long day rain is perfect for fungi and this beastie is a member of the Amanita family which include those very pretty white spotted red toadstools that fairies live under :)
Some are edible but many come with a skull and crossbones warning and scary names like great felt skirt destroying angel and death cap...to be avoided.

Walking companion J was very happy to have this as an evening snack for her Woylies but it did require VERY careful collecting (thank goodness for doggy poo bags!)
