Becky

Well I am just home from a 90th birthday party for an amazing woman who only seems like 70.
What a party we gathered at 4.30pm at our local town hall all done up for the war years flags etc. The hundred plus guests were all asked to dress for the 1940's era as that was when Betty had been in her hey day going out to dances etc. You should have seen the attire. Many men and women dressed in army , navy and air force uniforms. Heaps of us in beautiful fur coats and full length gowns, gloves and pearls etc.,
We had a beautiful dinner and then danced to a five piece band. Becky above is a beautiful singer and sang the songs from the war years. The hairdresser that did her hair had done Vera Lynns hair when she had come to NZ years ago so had endeavoured to do Becky's the same.
It has been the most wonderful night out with betty enjoying every minute of ity. If any of you know Vera Lynn do tell her about the hair dresser.
Good night all am just getting this in before midnight and have to be up early to watch the replay of the All Blacks versus England which of course I have missed seeing
