Model behaviour?

When I arrived at work this morning, I had no idea why there was a rope with Thunderbird 1 attached, lying on the decking beside our office. But that was OK: I had no idea why I was there either.

Later though, someone suggested it might have been used as a grappling hook when some other offices were broken into a while back. My first reaction was to laugh, but then I realised how strong the wings are - they'd easily take the weight of a young laptop-nicking ned, I reckon.

Surely not the role that Gerry Anderson intended for International Rescue.
