The Kamakura Daibutsu (Great Buddha of Kamakura)

This huge bronze statue was built over 760-years ago and is the second tallest bronze Buddha statue in Japan. The tallest is in Nara, Osaka at the famous Todaiji Temple.
We definitely arrived at the busiest time of the day, but another great place to visit, and the walk from the station to the statue site was lined with a lot of interesting shops.
