Early Morning Orchid

Out early this morning to help put out controls for the Eborienteers Handicap Relay Event at Cawthorne Camps (a Roman Army Camp on the fringes of the moors).

After we had got out the controls I had a play with the camera whilst awaiting the start of the event.

The light was just penetrating through the trees and into this clearing which was used for the start and finish. I particularly liked the lighting on this orchid with a bonus insect.
