VIEW FROM QUANTOCK HILLS
Whilst having breakfast this morning we were watching buzzards soaring overhead and kestrels hovering over long meadow grass. We decided to head off to the nearby Quantock hills. This photo was taken right at the beginning of our walk. We entered at Staple plantation, heading to Staple Plain. We were looking out towards Watchet where we went yesterday. The scenery was stunning all around.
We saw red deer, ponies, sheep and lots of birds. We climbed upwards for a couple of hours and then cut down into a lush green valley and then finally had a steep climb to get back to where we had started.
We then drove to Minehead and had a very late lunch. I bought a postcard to send to T our grandson (we send him a card every time we go away, he's getting quite a collection now!)
