Carnival time!

Or at least the village gala.

Had to take my car for service and MOT today - don't ask - it wasn't easy on the pocket! Just got back to the village before the road was closed for the gala parade which over the last few years has been led by this New Orleans Jazz Band (shame I chopped off the top of the brolly, but at the moment I took this he started to raise it into the air!). Bless them - they are all looking a bit long in the tooth now, but they keep leading the parade and playing most of the afternoon in the park where the gala is held.

Lucky with the weather today,and although the clouds looked threatening at times it stayed dry and warm. Well done to all the gala committee and the stalwarts who man the stalls every year!
