Still Life with strawberries

New plate from Michelle Freemantle in a new range for her called `Talvi', which means Winter in Finnish. Sometimes I like bright colours and sometimes subtle muted colours and I love these greys. Bought yesterday at Earth & Fire - Rufford.

The strawberries are ripening well now, but the blackbirds (and possible slugs) have already found the ripest ones, so I picked a few for us too. Maybe I was a little premature as I think they'll benefit from one or two more days on the plant (but then the blackbirds are sure to get to them before me)!
