Midsummer cycle

This afternoon we took the train to Haltwhistle, about 30 minutes train ride from where we live & then cycled home along part of the Hadrian's Wall cycle route, one of the Sustrans national cycle routes. When we started out it was very hot & sunny but gradually it clouded over & cooled off a little. We were grateful for that as it was a very hilly route but the views were spectacular & the countryside beautiful. This is a quick shot on my phone of the view north toward the Wall.
