A trio of artichokes

Another Saturday morning buying tiles and yet more paint samples. The builders were here today for the first time this week - another job gave us a break from them. They fitted the doors to some of the kitchen cupboards that needed to be costume made. All looked great until they realised that the new cupboard covered half a ceiling light! GRRRRRR. So the afternoon of painting was halted as we will have to drill another hole, move two lights, patch the first hole and re-skim. It wouldn't be so bad but I have already painted the ceiling and all it needed was a final coat, now back to the beginning.

As a distraction I went with Mr PB to the allotment and picked red currants and artichokes. We had the latter for tea braised with home grown new spuds, peas in white wine - yummy! The red currants have been prepared and are dripping through a jelly bag as we speak. I know what will be doing tomorrow.
