A Snapshot a Day

The Wasteland

After 14 years in the house, every closet, every piece of furniture, and even the 20x20 storage room is packed to the gills, and I'm sick of it.

Today we started our decluttering project, and kicked it off with Tom's closet. Unbelievably there was a pair of green stonewashed denim jeans in there, that we bought over with us when we moved from the UK in, er, 1989. Even more unbelievably they still fit, which has been the excuse for not throwing them out for years. Today they went in the donation pile. Yippee!

After that I started on the bookshelf in the bedroom and came across this. Oh how I hated the poems of TS Eliot, the scourge of O and A level English Lit students. Of course I needed all the help I could get, hence this. I can't believe I still have it after all these years. It's worse than the stone washed jeans and probably predates them by a decade.

Hmmmm I wonder if it will ever come in useful again????
