WINTERS DAY:

This is the view from my top garden which is connected to the front by a wide strip of lawn. We bought these two acres to protect us from the town moving out. The outlook is glorious but it does cop a lot of wind. Come here on a windless day & you're in Heaven ! You can drive right to the back through an avenue of rhododendrons on one side & down though an avenue of cherry trees on the other. Nothing out at this time of the year, but it is a picture from the end of October onwards. I plant all my surplus daffodils & maple seedlings up here.
After a hard frost we've had the most glorious day. Warm sunshine & not a cloud in the sky. Doesn't feel like winter. The calendar must be wrong !!
