Heading Towards Summer

On the way to church this morning, I saw that these 4 people were going out for a swim. They said that because we have passed the shortest day, we are now heading towards summer. One of the guys said that the zip was broken on his wet suit, and the freezing water was pouring in. He didn't know whether to turn back or not, but in the end he decided to keep going. I must say it was pretty cold, maybe -1C!

My family have now moved in, my room is now upstairs, where I have spectacular views of the lake. The others are downstairs, and have unpacked their gear and are ready for their first night's sleep in Wanaka. Oh, what fun.
