Fête de la musique

Each year on 21 June is Fête de la musique, not just in Paris. I can't report from other sites, but here towards the evening the city just turned to a enormous festival with music everywhere. Small and larger bands, DJ's, choirs, etc. We stopped at this band for a while and their repertoire was impressive. There was a huge crowd listening and even kids became fascinated (look at the small singer in the middle !).

All in all a great day, which started with a rowing session on the Seine. My wife and I went out on a double-skiff - what the trainer calls a loveboat. Of course then a late breakfast and a lazy day. We packed for picknick and found a nice place at the Seine bank on Ile de la cité, later a Berthillon ice-cream on Ile Saint-Louis where this band played in front of an optician store.
