The Hackney Half

Today Hackney closed its roads to cars and opened them to thousands of runners for the very first time. Already one of the top ten biggest half marathons in the country, before the first runner has even tied their laces, Vitality Run Hackney is set to be, the fresh, new half marathon to hit the capital.

I was lucky enough to witness the elite and fun runners as they passed by close to my home in London Fields so was up early to record the event. Although there were not many runners in fun costumes I managed to grab this image of one who had braved the heat.
