Bug.

Just exploring what's left of some plants I put outside after the slugs and rabbits have had their fill and found this dude hanging around on a thistle.

My Collins guide to British wildlife doesn't seem to be much help.

If it's not an Ichneumon (never heard of them before) or I missed counting all the wings and it's a dragonfly or one of their peedier relatives then I have no idea at all.

Nothing new there!
