Grasses
Newly seeded grasses growing along the side of the Water of Leith where previously there have been floodworks. Good practice in manual focus.
An exceptionally quiet day at home punctuated only by a trip to the supermarket on the bike and a visit from a friend with whom we should have been lunching today in East Lothian (but she wasn't up to it, unfortunately). We were going to combine that with a trip to Cove, another hidden gem that we've missed so far, but I'm sure it will be around for another weekend.
Otherwise, we've been quietly at home, doing the washing, reading stuff, and in my case mentally preparing for the week ahead.
Last night, after we got back from the party, we watched a bit of football including the Bosnia/Herzegovina and Nigeria match. BiH were robbed of a legitimate goal, and it's hard to see that the result was not affected by that. As a result they felt doubly aggrieved at the Nigerian goal, even though it probably was not accompanied by a foul. My overall view on the BiH team was that it was skillful, but a bit one paced, but perhaps I saw them on a bad day.
