Mysterious Lights

The smell of smoke got me outside to see where it was coming from. That is when I saw these two mysterious lights with smoke trails.

The lights made the news the next day with no one claiming to know anything about them including Camp Pendleton. Since the lights were in the direction of Camp Pendleton, I suspect they are flares used to light up areas for night time maneuvers.

Fortunately, they went out before reaching the ground.
