Quiet day

I wish photos had scent. These smelt wonderful. Spent most of the day at Wisdom House in Romsey at a quiet day with most of my year group from STETS. Although with 3 weddings at the Abbey it was Hartley quiet.
It was very helpful though. We were encouraged to see the Eucharist as central to our week. Everything we experience during the week can be taken to the Eucharist on Sunday and the Eucharist strengthens us and take us through the week to come. We looked at

praise: being aware of the beauty, diversity, creativity of the world we live in and bringing them to the praise in the Eucharist .

Compassion: encountering many instances of pain and suffering through personal relationships, experiences or the news and bring them to the intercessions in the Eucharist.

delusion: seeking God's grace to uncover the delusions we have about what it means to be human and bringing these to the confession at the Eucharist.
